I'm doing it again--swimming from Northport, Maine to Islesboro, about 3 1/2 miles across Penobscot Bay, to raise money for Lifeflight of Maine. LifeFlight of Maine is a nonprofit organization and the state’s only emergency medical helicopter service. With three helicopters, an airplane and ground ambulances, LifeFlight brings ICU-level care directly to the patient. As Maine’s only air ambulance service, LifeFlight has served more than 42,000 patients, one life at a time, from every community and hospital in the state. and the provides vital emergency transport services for rural Maine communities, and in particular island communities.
I’ve organized a group of around 8 swimmers and paddlers (including Finn) to make the crossing to support this important cause. Please support us if you can by clicking on the “donate” button. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
